Treatment Gains are Maintained After Discharge from Intensive Residential Treatment for OCD
Treatment gains achieved during intensive residential treatment of patients with OCD are maintained 6 months after the patient is discharged, according to trial results presented at the Anxiety Disorders Association of America annual conference.
This is the first long-term, follow-up study on the efficacy of intensive residential treatment. Patients who lived alone after discharge and those with comorbid illnesses, however, were more likely to relapse.
